 ICT as an Informative Tool.

👉 ICT as an informative tool means using technology (like computers, internet, or mobile phones) to find, share, and use information easily and quickly. when ICT is used as an informative tool, it helps us to get information and knowledge from different sources such as websites, videos, online newspapers, digital books. It allows students, teachers, and others to learn new things anytime and anywhere. For e.g. students can use google to find information about topics that they want to learn more, and they can also watch    educational videos from YouTube to understand better about the topics.

Informative tool comprises of vast amount of information in various formats such as texts, graphics, sound, image and video format. Foe e.g. It includes text-based (books, articles) visual tools, interactive tools, digital tools and reference tools.

I think ICT as an informative tool plays a very important role in modern education world. It helps students and teachers to access a wide range of information easily and quickly. By using ICT as an informative tool learning becomes more interesting and meaningful because students can explore real world knowledge beyond their textbooks. For example, when learning about a solar system, students can watch educational videos or search online for the discoveries made by scientist.

Integrating ICT as an informative tool in the classroom is important because it encourages students to become active learners since it supports different learning style (VARK). Instead of only depending on the teacher, students can find answers on their own, which improves their thinking and research skills. It also helps teachers to make lessons more engaging by using multimedia resources such as images, videos, and online articles.

In the classroom i will integrate in such activity as below:

Activity 1.

Using text image, design a learning activity for primary children relevant learning materials(resources)

class: 3

Subject: English

Topic: Body Parts

Activity: leveling the parts of the body

Activity 2.

Activity Title: “My Favorite Animal” Presentation

Every child must write about their favorite animal in any form. for eg. they can record the video using Camtasia Studio.

 

During this activity ICT is used here primarily as a informative and creative tool.

✌ Students use the internet and digital resources(e.g., You tube tutorial video, Wikipedia) to search for reliable information about their chosen animal. This helps them learn hoe to find, evaluate, and select relevant facts. 

Using Camtasia Studio, students apply ICT to Organize and present information visually and verbally. They can also use the other format of information presentation in  👉 Recording Voice-overs
